    Aloha Girl – January 11, 2021

I LOVE this brewer! It holds a lot of tea and I really like the glass pitcher. I also use it for when I just need hot water for a cup of hot tea by dispensing a cup of water directly into my mug. The only downside is it uses nearly all the ice in my ice maker for a full pitcher.

I love this thing. Works great and is fast.Uses less tea bags than if I do it the traditional way.I am definitely going to order one for others in my family.

Things I really like:The name Mr. Coffee there company stands behind there product.brews quickly the ability to use loose leaf tea or tea bags, adjustable brew strength. the glass pitcher is easy to clean The entire brewer has a neutral black and stainless design The only down side is the glass pitcher is not as heavy as I would have liked however, it is good size.

I love iced tea. This works well with Lipton’s ‘gallon’ tea bags (run it 4 times with just one of those tea bags). I am curious to now start brewing to ‘loose’ speciality teas too.

I originally gave this a poor review. Stopped working after one successful use.Decided to try again with a replacement. The second one has performed perfectly. Easy to use and makes a good strong batch when set on “strong”. Almost four years old at this point and I use it at least twice a week. Very pleased. Also like the glass pitcher. Most are plastic.

I bought this for my wife, who brews a lot of tea. She uses it almost daily and enjoys it much better than putting a pot on the stove. Zero complaints!

This is my favorite purchase of the summer so far. It makes perfect tea almost effortlessly. I grew up always having a pitcher of iced tea in my mom’s fridge and I loved it, but I got too lazy to make my own on a regular basis. Now it’s so easy I”m back to having tea every day and loving it. I’m probably going to give some of these as gifts for upcoming birthdays.

We have had this tea maker for several months now, and it is working out well. My only concern initially was whether I would use it consistently, but we enjoy making our own flavored tea to just our taste. As with ANY product that dispenses water, you may get a few drips if you pull the pitcher out before every drop has been dispensed, but I purchased a soft black trivet (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00Q2BU1J6/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_15) that I use under it on the counter. It looks nice and protects the counter top. Loving out green tea maker!

Use this all the time! Very easy to use. I get large iced tea bags and when it is almost done Brewing I fill up the water receptacle so I get full use out of the tea bag. The other option is you could just take the teabag out after it’s done brewing and put it in the pitcher, but then you would have to fish the bag out afterwards. I got this as an alternative to drinking sodas with flavored teas, etc. Has definitely worked!

    Sarah – January 11, 2021

I pretty much exclusively drink iced tea because a box of tea bags is cheaper and easier to carry home than a 12 pack of soda. Also, it seems like something the Designing Women would drink, and they are who I want to be before I settle on a Golden Girl. This little pot works well. I had a plastic blue and white version before, but brittle plastic breaks pretty easily when you drop it repeatedly on the ground after washing it in the dishwasher even though the instructions advise against. This is much more attractive and can be displayed on my counter without embarrassment. Also has some better bells and whistles (varying brew strengths, water levelindicator winter), but the machine itself is pretty lightweigh plastic). A little tricky to figure out the water/brewing situation (the advertisement’s picture would have helped, as Mr. Coffee’s drawings in his instruction booklet leave something to be desired), otherwise, brew away. My tip: even if I fill to the max water level and the max ice level, it still doesnt brew a full pot and my tea bags still have flavor . . . so after it shuts off, I pour a little hot water from a coffee cup over the tea bags to get a full pot. That reveals a lot about how cheap I am — that I wouldn’t want ot waste tea bag flavor — and how lazy I am — that I want to have to make as few pots of tea as possible at any given time– but there you are. To the one cheap, lazy person reasing this: You’re welcome.

This is a great product. Makes a large pitcher, I use 2 large tea bags per pot. Has brew strength ajustment. I put tea bags in it and fresh mint leaves in pitcher with ice and brew. Within minutes you have a fresh pot of mint tea.

    P. Meyer – January 18, 2021

I like most of you rely on others product rating pretty heavily when purchasing and item. As I like tea and my (now prior) tea make was dying I decided on this on. Here is what I like.1) The glass picture. Just raised the quality as my older product has a plastic picture. This is one you can put on the table.2) Minimal space on counter. The top of the unit is aligned with the bottom when not being used and thus only requires the basic footprint. If you like iced tea and want this out all the time, it is great.3) Kind of dummy proof. The unit has marking on the picture if you want instant iced tea but also on the water tank. I like this as I typically don’t need instant ice tea and can easily fill the picture to the top without overflow concerns.4) Another dummy proof, the tea bag holder has groves so it can only go in one way.5) Another dummy proof, the picture needs to be located properly to brew tea.The only negative I really dislike is the spout for pouring is too small. Even when it is aligned tea does not pour out very easily. Not a big deal given all the positives in the product.

    smurph22 – January 18, 2021

Works great! I’m using my plastic pitcher from my old Mr Coffee that died. I believe you can interchange several pitchers very easily and save the glass one for company. All the pitchers I own could work with this. Just need to leave the tops off until you’re done brewing. Appliance itself works great. I fill with water about 3/4 of the way up the indicator, put in 5 bags and hit the Bree button. Perfect tea every time. I don’t even measure the water anymore. I just fill and brew

After reading several reviews of this product I was a little leery of purchasing due to the complaints of the pitcher construction and durability. I am glad I bought this product. The pitcher is a normal glass pitcher therefore some care is needed in handling but it is not overly fragile. I like the fact that it can be thoroughly cleaned and does not retain stains like the plastic pitchers have a tendency to do. It is easy to use and works well. It was delivered in great condition and prior to the projected delivery date. I recommend this product and would purchase again if and when necessary.

My family likes pretty strong tea so we don’t really follow the instructions. I run 4 family strength tea bags through 3 times. Then I put in a 1 gallon pitcher with about a half or so of sugar. We like raspberry tea so if I do it that way I initially place 4 raspberry tea bags in and run one brew and on the second add the 4 family size tea bags for th he 2cnd and third run. PERFECT!

I’ve used a number of ice tea makers and this is the best. The pitcher is large, and not plastic! The device is well made and works as advertised. I like the option of using loose tea or tea bags and being able to select the strength of the tea I want.Definitely worth the investment.

I’ve been using the older style/older model of Mr. Coffee Iced Tea makers for many years… the most recent year models not being anywhere near a good as the older models…until NOW. This new Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Maker with Glass Pitcher and adjustable strength makes amazing Iced Tea. I’m very happy with this one. I would highly recommend.

We wanted a machine that could be used with multiple tea pitchers. We make 2-3 pitchers of tea per day and don’t have time to stop and wash just one pitcher for reuse.

Works well, easy to use. My only concern is the glass pitcher. I tend to brew and then pour into a plastic container that I don’t have to worry about being knocked out of the fridge and breaking. Sits on counter conveniently.

I go through a lot of iced tea and this has to be the best maker I have ever owned. It not only looks good on the counter, it brews tea at any level I feel like that day, i.e., strong, moderate, lite. The glass pitcher is a nice touch. I am afraid of breaking it but would rather just take care of it than have another plastic pitcher that stains and holds in tastes of past brews. Good job Mr. Coffee!!!

Bought this 3 years ago, had serious concerns about the “dinky” glass pitcher. Turns out, it’s pretty darned sturdy. We’ve abused it terribly, short of dropping it. My husband makes at least 1 pitcher per day. Three years, no problems!I was so impressed with the quality of the tea and durability of the appliance that the following Christmas, I bought one for my dad. According to my mom, he makes TWO pitchers of tea per day! And it’s been two years with no problems. My husband had to experiment a little to learn how to brew tea worthy of his tea-snob reqiurements, but he is happy with the results. (Bottled water or carbon filtered RO water, add ice after brewing, two family sized Lipton tea bags, full strength brew.)

    FM1 – February 25, 2021

Nice unit. Makes tea quickly and easily. I like the glass pitcher much better than a plastic one, just have to always be cautious with it as it is thin and looks like it would break easily if you bumped something with it. I use the Bigelow green tea in bags, usually 6 bags for a full pitcher and it is ready to drink and refrigerate about 10 minutes. It will also brew tea that is not in bags with an extra filter for the tea holder. You can add your sugar right into the pitcher before you start it. Has adjustable brew strength button. Easy cleanup, just rinse the little tray that holds the tea bags. I definitely recommend it.

Our Hamilton Beach tea maker was discontinued, and we were sure we would never find a suitable replacement. Then, we ordered Mr. Coffee Tea Cafe Iced Tea Maker, and it makes even better iced tea than our old tea maker! Nicely designed and looks great on the kitchen counter. Makes fantastic iced tea! I do not use ice in the pitcher, but I do use filtered water and Tetley tea bags. Brew the tea and finish filling the pitcher to the line marked on the pitcher with cold filtered water. Delicious! Tea is always fresh tasting and clear. Our daughter and son-in-law were so impressed with the taste of the iced tea that they promptly “hinted” this would be a perfect anniversary gift for them! They love it as much as we do. Sometimes necessity forces us to try different products, and in this case, we are glad that we were forced to make the change. Yes, the pitcher is thin, but if you are careful, there are no issues. It’s glass, and that’s a real benefit as it cleans up with no stains or residue remaining. The company has replacement pitchers for approximately $10 each, so order a spare for back-up or an extra pitcher of tea.

Mr. Coffee rocks Iced Tea once again! I love iced tea and in the summer can drink an entire pitcher myself on a hot day. My previous iced tea maker was also by Mr. Coffee and worked great too but it wasn’t this model. I couldn’t wait to get this out of the box and get started.Loving: ~ It has a glass pitcher but it is amazingly lightweight. Not to mention that it is 2.5 quarts! ~ When not in use the “top” folds back and doesn’t take up much room on the counter ~ Brew basket is easy to remove and handles both tea bags and loose tea with ease ~ You can set your brew strength, which is awesome because I like to make peach tea and it requires a stronger brew ~ All removable parts wash up great in the dishwasher ~ Fast! Start to finish you can have iced tea in about 5 minutesNot so much: ~ I wish the lid to the pitcher fit just a little snugger. It doesn’t fall out when pouring tea (even with ice in the pitcher), but is just a little “loose” fitting

okay … i know … i could just boil the tea in a pot …and then pour it into a pitcher… but this is really easier since I dont have to watch a pot boil … and this newer model is beautiful on the counter. I love the way the top closes up reducing foot print size. I love the way the cord stores inside the back. I am a “sweet tea” kind of gal and have not played with any of the recipes they have in their book…

This is the best iced tea maker ever!! I have had a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker for about 20 years and loved it. It finally broke and I bought what looked like the same item, but updated in color. That machine cost about half the cost of this one, but it made a very weak tea and wasn’t nearly as good as the one I had had for years. Then I bought this one. It’s great. I absolutely love the glass pitcher. The tea tastes so much better from the glass pitcher. Yes, it may break. Yes, it may be heavier than the plastic one, but the plastic one was flimsy. Bottom line, the tea just tastes SO much better from glass. If the pitcher does break, I’ll just get another one. This machine also has a drip chamber with its own filter, so there’s no need for disposable filters. It offers the option of choosing the strength of the iced tea, which is great. I like my tea strong because I add a lot of ice in my glass before I drink it so it gets diluted that way. With this product, I can save on the filters and use less tea. It also looks nice on my counter because it goes with everything. I love it!

Love this thing. I use it daily. It seems to not overextract the tea, be it green, oolong or black, which surprised me. The quality beverage it makes is excellent. The glass pitcher is nice quality. Some people complain about the thickness of the glass, but for the price of this brewer, what do people expect? Replacement pitchers are available from Mr Coffee for 10 bucks shipped, should you break yours. I haven’t yet.

    Kindle Customer – March 27, 2021

I’ve been trying to find something to replace soda in my diet. I had tried tea, but hated making 1 cup at a time. I use this iced tea maker to make pitchers of iced herbal tea (which doesn’t actually have any tea in it). The flavor is strong and complex enough to satisfy my cravings for flavor (I use lemon, orange and mint – so I have a variety) and I can just put a pitcher of it in the fridge for the same convenience I had with cans of soda. A full pitcher is over a half gallon, so it actually lasts a little while. When it is chilly, I can put my extra large tea cup under the spout and have my hot tea in half the time that putting the kettle on takes. It is also really simple to use. Just pour a cup full of water in, put the cup under the spout, put the tea bag in the basket and hit start. This tea maker has helped me go from 3 sodas a day to 1 or none.

My husband bought this Mr.Coffeet Tea Brewer and he says he loves it. He’s not an appliance freak and never gets excited with a new toaster that doesn’t burn the toast on one side and not toasted on the other Or, a coffee maker that shows how much water is in the tank. Nope, none of that.. But, he’s gaa gaa over this. I love the auto shut off and that the pitcher is dishwasher safe. He says this is idiot proof.and it holds a lot… LOL If he’s happy then I’m happy.

I totally love this. It works great. You can use either bag tea or loose tea. A lot of people complain about the glass picture being fragile. It is about the same quality as a Mr. Coffee coffee maker. It is fragile so you do have to be careful, that being said I’ve had mine for over six months and never broke it. Even though it’s glass and it is fragile I do prefer the glass over the plastic. We are trying to get away from plastics in our house to avoid all the chemicals. Glass is much better for you healthwise. I use this every day, and I highly recommend it.

I actually own 2 of these. This item does have one minor flaw. The pitcher is fragile but if you are careful it will last a very long time. (The first one was given as a birthday gift. The second one I bought only because I liked the first one that much.) and yes I do drink lots of tea. Both hot and cold. Oh by the way this machine also heats water for hot tea, hot chocolate and instant coffee. Also good for a cup of hot soup.

We brew our ice tea using one of these and I like the fact that I can put grounds in it (I acutally cut open the bags and dump the grinds in). Just like Hetti from NCIS LA, one can taste the paper. I like that one can continue to add water during the brewing cycle. Our old Mr. Ice Tea had a cracked pitcher while this one is glass, I like the brewing method on this one better, just wish the pitcher would hold more.

It’s easily to clean, literally only had 1 button, and can do hot or cold brew teas. Plus it comes with a diffusing basket to brew loose leaf blends as well.I highly record this!

I bought this in Sept 2020. I used it nearly every day. I made a pot of green iced tea every day or two, and it just developed a crack in the reservoir (in Nov 2021). I think you get your money’s worth on this thing, and I loved my tea. I’m replacing my cracked one and hope to get at least another year out of it.

This thing has absolutely made my life. I quit drinking a bit ago, and found that having a tasty drink near me keeps me away from the liquor. I used to buy cases of Arizona teas full of high fructose corn syrup, and just piled on the calories all day. With this, however, I can create the most delicious and exotic blends of iced tea from around the world, and sweeten it exactly to my taste. The brew basket is perfect because I can just pour loose tea into it and brew away, and sachets work perfectly too. I can even put chunks of fruit or preserves in the break basket to increase the available combination options. I even was able to brew a carafe of iced coffee in here with no problems. Many reviewers complained about the carafe breaking, but if you use common sense (NEVER drop ice into the empty carafe!) it shouldn’t break. Mine has held up quite nicely. Overall, the performance and design of this machine, as well as the price, are simply hard to beat.

I’ve gone through so many Iced Tea Makers and I believe this is my favorite one. I’ve given up soda (not totally) and drink mostly iced tea.The initial setup is very easy- just wash everything :)Putting water into the resivior is very simple.Placing the tea bags up top is very easy as well as the strength of the brew which is controlled by a lever.Pressing the button on the side to turn the unit on shows a blue light confirming it’s on. When the brewing is done, the light is off.I add sugar to the pitcher when the brewing is done.Cleanup is a breeze!

Not an inexpensive tea maker but well worth the extra money. Eliminates the problem of tea stains on the pitcher that are difficult to clean off. The pitcher is heavy duty glass that should not easily break and lasts longer than the plastic ones.

I have been using iced tea makers for over 20 years and this is the ONE maker that brews to the strength you prefer ( I prefer strong). I use Starbucks iced tea bags, taste from brewer is fresh, clear and refreshing. I love the glass carafe, tea should be in glass. Washes easily in between batches. Like the fact it’s at least 2.5 qts since I drink iced tea daily all year round.Great job Mr Coffee!

For the price and the time takes to make the tea, this was worth every penny. I can successfully make a pitcher of tea and about five minutes comes out good every time. Unlike some of the reviews, I have yet to have my pitcher break. But I’m not trying to jinx myself.

Works perfectly just like my old one, but sooo much better looking!! My old one had a plastic pitcher that was all stained and brown and cracking. I love the glass pitcher!! So much nicer! And the black/gray unit looks great on my counter 🙂

This iced tea maker is very nice and works great! It looks good and I like the glass pitcher because the plastic ones stain very quickly because of the tea. There are only 2 things I would change. I wish the pitcher was 3 quarts like the plastic version instead of 2.5. And the cup wich holds the tea bags is a little snug. But other than that a great product!

I love this machine, and so does my wife. We are constantly using it. The only thing I wish was improved was the pitcher. I feels flimsy and it’s rather small. With the machine, sometimes hitting the perfect strength is a game of hit or miss, but the ability to adjust the strength is positive on it’s own.

So glad my other tea maker died. This one is so much better. I have the “strength” button pushed all the way over to STRONG and I really get so much more tea now than my old tea maker. The basket is far easier to clean out when I brew tea from the full leaf. I will agree with other reviewers the pitcher is thin. I’ll do my best to not crack nit.

Great tea maker. The basket is nice. I put two family size tea bags in it to make our customary 1 gallon of tea. I have not used loose grounds as I don’t see a need for the mess. As has been mentioned the pitcher is thin glass and anybody with a clumsy hand will probably break it, but the design of the tea maker allows almost any pitcher short enough to fit under the pivoting top to work. The tea drips straight down so it doesn’t require a perfect fit pitcher. So even if I break the glass pitcher I see no issue using another plastic pitcher short enough to fit under the tea dispenser. My last tea maker design did not allow a “alternate” like this one does. This one is designed much better. Too bad it doesn’t come with a nice shatterproof pitcher and I would give it 5 stars for that. Very happy overall with the item.* we’ve owned this tea maker 13 months now. Still works perfect. The biggest thing is to be careful when moving the pitcher around. If your clumsy, it will break quickly, if your careful, it will last a long time. Best tea maker I have had so far!

Nope, none of that.. But, he’s gaa gaa over this. I love the auto shut off and that the pitcher is dishwasher safe. He says this is idiot proof.and it holds a lot… LOL If he’s happy then I’m happy.

This contraption makes the best iced tea ever and is easy to use. All you do is add water and tea bags and boom! You’ve got iced tea. When you are done, just dispose of the tea bags and stick the tea in the fridge. I keep it under the counter for storage and it fits perfectly. The jug it comes with is perfect for tea and for keeping in the fridge. The tea is delicious! Make it sweet, unsweetened, however you like!

Love it. Have had others but often they would spill tea on the counter top if not aligned up exactly right. Haven’t had that issue with this unit but do worry about the seemingly very fragile glass pitcher. Also, since I like sugar sweetened tea, I find I need to dilute my sugar in a cup of hot water and add it to the pitcher after the brew cycle completes.

This brewer is really nice. I never understood why a tea brewer couldn’t work more like my coffee maker. With most tea brewers you have to remove the filter basket to add more water to make full(er) pitchers of tea. Well, I don’t want to remove the scalding hot tea filter to pour water in, why can’t I just lift the lid to the water reservoir and pour (like my coffee pot!) Finally, Mr. Coffee makes that tea brewer. The tea basket/filter are separate from the water reservoir…you just move the tea basket over the pitcher and brew. And! Just like a coffee maker, the pitcher is glass. I always worried about chemicals leeching from those traditional plastic pitchers, especially since tea brews so hot. This glass pitcher is actually pretty nice, the glass is thin, but it really is just like a regular glass coffee pot. Just be careful with it as you are with your other glass dishes and you won’t break it.I pretty much fill and brew twice for a nice full tea pitcher. The best thing about this tea maker is the extra removable filter to brew loose leaf tea. I can’t recommend it enough!

This is the best tea brewing system I’ve tried and I have done many things, from infusers, to ceramic mugs, to the smaller glass infuser, to a teapot infuser, and this is the most convenient and cheapest. I can make an entire pitcher using my loose leaf tea, brewed at the perfect temperature, immediately cold and ready to drink, in about five minutes. No waiting for the tea to cool. I can make a pitcher and just leave it in the fridge. I drink a glass in the morning and pour some into an old glass drink bottle with a cap to drink during the day at my work. Seriously, the taste difference between your own brewed loose leaf tea and store bought tea is insane. Store bought tea tastes so watered down and unflavored in comparison to the tea made with this. I recommend adagio teas for loose leaf tea needs. Their Valentine’s Day tea and Peach Oolong are my favorites. Valentines day has strawberries, raspberries, dark chocolate, cocoa, and black tea if I remember correctly. It tastes like chocolate covered strawberries.

I’ve always had a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker. You combine that with Louisianne brand family size tea bags and you’ve got a winner for the best Iced Tea. I’ve always had the 3 quart but the plastic pitchers always seem to get scratchy and cloudy. The plastic last for years but by the time you need to replace it doesn’t seem like they make many more. So this time I bought a new one and getting use to it making 2.5 quarts and so far like the glass pitcher. I do wish the glass was a little thicker as it does feel thin and likely to break. I also don’t like the way the lid fits on the pitcher as it tends to want to fall out every time you pour. I’m not sure why but the glass pitchers sell here for $30 on up and from the Mr. Coffee website you can buy them for nine dollars. I’ve already bought one replacement pitcher from Mr. Coffee just in case this one breaks.

We make 2 pitchers each day. It works great. I buy cheap tea without bags from Kroger, $1.27 for 100 bags. ..okay it has bags, just not the wrapper and strings. I use 1/4 cup for a full brew, add additional water and then chill it down with a frozen bottle of water. (so it doesn’t dilute the tea) One minor headache is that with 1/4 cup of loose tea, it’s gonna get all over the place – inside the brewer, but a bit messy and requires a little rinsing of the unit. But two batches a day, it’s been going for at least 7 months. The carafe is cheap, I broke mine just buy tapping it with that famous frozen water bottle. Good news is that you can get a carafe at Bed Bath & Beyond that costs $14.95 ($11.96 with their ubiquitous coupons) This carafe fits perfect and weighs more than the entire brew unit. Together they are a great team.

I have had such horrible experiences with cheaper ice tea makers before this one. This ice tea maker is the best one I have had in years. As seen in the picture the brew basket swings out over the pitcher and completely eliminates the chance of spillage all over the counter during the brewing process (that has been a major problem with previous ice tea makers that were purchased). Also I really love the glass pitcher because it elongated the chance for a stain that always happens in plastic pitchers and fits nicely in my fridge without taking up much room.

After using a series of Mr Coffee Iced Tea Machines with plastic pitchers for about 10 years, I was tired of scrubbing tea stains from scratched plastic surfaces. This new version has a tempered glass pitcher which is easy to clean and looks nice on the table. I used to hide the old white Mr Coffee tea brewer on the top shelf of the pantry. This black tea maker machine has an opening in which to hide the cord, and it looks sleek enough to stay on the counter next to my husband’s black coffee maker. The tea tastes great. I bought this item 8 months ago and brew a 2.5 quart pitcher just about every three days. There are no problems as long as you follow use and care instructions.

Our ice tea system was delivered a few days ago and I just made our 8th pitcher of tea. One thing I cannot stress enough is to read the directions thoroughly, otherwise you might experience the following like we did:-think the unit does not work since you did not slide the dispenser over which caused your tea to be put into the water reservoir-look at the amount of tea made in the pitcher and wonder why this machine is worth it (ice and/or additional water is a necessity). After a few small missteps from not reading the directions thoroughly, I can now say that I love our new tea maker. Some thoughts:-we are heeding the other reviewer warnings about treating the pitcher with extra TLC. Only hand washing though supposedly it is dish washer safe.-we are brewing it with the 7 individual bags on the strongest setting to yield our results-we are putting some ice in when brewing, adding water to the “ice” line after brewing and then adding a few ice cubes when pouring a drink. It turns out a glass of tea that you would get at most restaurants. My original disappointment was thinking that the liquid as brewed was the finished product. Not true. It needs more ice or water to dilute, hence why they have you add ice or water to the ice line.-we have been drinking tea instead of soda and coffee since getting it. I drink it unsweetened and my husband adds sugar to his glass for sweet tea. I have added some lemon juice to some of the batches. So far this is a keeper. I had delayed the purchase for a few months since I was worried it would go the way of our soda stream (use for 2 months and not again). Unlike the soda stream, the continued cost expended is just for the tea and that is a lot cheaper than soda or seltzer. My husband was not on board with the purchase at first since he liked to just use cold brew bags. I never cared for the patience required and I always felt like it was either too weak or horribly bitter since the bag sits in the water for so long. He has quickly adjusted to the new machine and the new machine makes superior tea.The photos show a) it starting to brew b) how much is brewed even with ice already in it (so I do add water when done) and c) what the color/strength is when added to a glass with a few pieces of ice when done.

Very easy to use. The water gets very hot and really draws the flavor out of the bags. I filter my water and get a very nice pot of tea every time. I use regular tea bags and put my sugar in the craft. A little less than 1/4 cup of sugar seems to be the perfect amount for a full pot of tea. Very happy with this product.

I don’t know why I didn’t notice the position the iced tea maker was supposed to be in during brewing from the pictures, but I didn’t. I left it in the position that is used for storing so I brewed tea back into the water reservoir. Dumb, I know. Anywho! After I figured that out I was good to go! Only took me two tries to get it right. The initial cleaning cycle (which you think I would have figured that out after one round, but no) and one brewing cycle. This thing is actually awesome! The top swings out when making the tea so there is no chance of the tea accidently leaking or dripping down the sides of the pitcher like my old one. There are a couple of things that could be improved on, #1. I wish the cord was a little longer, I have to keep moving it out to plug it in, #2. I had an older model and I loved it (but it broke and is discontinued). So I decided to buy this one and give it a try.Love:-The glass pitcher is nice and slender so it doesn’t take up a lot of refrigerator space-The maker itself stores nicely-I like how this model shuts itself off (before I had to watch it and then let the remaining tea out)-Doesn’t leak and I don’t know how it could-Since it drips from about you can use other pitchers as well, unlike the other kind of models-I like the brew basket (I use tea bags for the most part)Ehhhh:-The only thing I dislike is that the tea can be a little weak (even on it’s strongest setting) so add more tea bags than recommended-Also the lid doesn’t stay on very well when pouring (and it has never been in the dishwasher I was the lid and pitcher by hand)Other then the few “ehh” things, I love this pitcher and I am constantly making tea with it.

You can also adjust the strength which is really awesome. It comes with this little recipe book too, I haven’t used it yet but I definitely plan to! I read on some of the revieww that the glass has cracked after a few weeks and if the top is put in the dishwasher, then it deforms and no longer fits the pitcher. I can see what other reviewers have said about the glass pitcher – really wish they would’ve made it plastic but I am just making sure to be very careful with it!I would recommend this for anyone who loves to have iced tea ready within a matter of minutes!

You’d think making iced tea would be the easiest thing in the world. Boil water. Pour into pitcher. Remove tea bags after 4-9 minutes. Pour over ice. But somehow those four simples steps had become so onerous that I stopped making tea several months ago. (It didn’t help that it never tasted as good as what I got at some of the better local restaurants). Now, I make tea once a day (sometimes more if it’s really hot). It takes maybe three minutes to assemble everything, and then I just walk away. Five(-ish) minutes later, I’ve got great tasting iced tea.Clean-up has so far been a breeze. All of the pieces and fiddly little parts seem to be holding up (though I’m *very* careful when using the machine since it’s all plastic). The glass pitcher is great, but it really is crazily, shockingly thin glass. I place the first dozen ice cubes in by hand because I can totally see the pitcher shattering just from an ice cube dropped from 10 inches. Eventually, I’m sure I’ll lose focus for a second, and end up breaking the thing–and then I’ll buy the acrylic replacement that’s been mentioned by a couple of reviewers. In short, if you like iced tea, and you’re not all thumbs, you’ll love this product.

We’ve been using Mr. Coffee Ice Tea Makers for years, however, they were all the plastic versions. The glass is much better and cleaner. I also like how they made it easy to brew loose tea by including a filter. I also like the streamlined look of the tea maker, it makes it look sleek. Definitely worth the money if you drink a lot of tea like we do.

Years ago I used early iced tea makers and they worked fine, but I don’t particularly like plastic. I have been making my tea on the stove and putting it into a glass pitcher, but the neck is narror and it is difficult to clean. I decided to check and see of the technology had improved at all and found this great iced tea maker with a glass pitcher with a wide opening making it easy to clean. Love this.

What an amazing little machine! It seems like within seconds I am drinking my first glass of fresh brewed tea. I used to have a machine years ago where I had to buy paper brew baskets and they used to make such a mess. Not any more with the Mr. Coffee machine since their basket just needs to be dumped of the tea bags and rinsed in the sink. I have nothing but good things to say about this Iced Tea maker. I think this would make a great gift for bride to be, first time homeowner, or someone who just loves iced tea!

Reliable, consistent, easy to use tea maker. Four years after purchase I’m posting this review due to this being the only tea maker that I’ve ever had that years later still works like a champ and is part of my almost daily tea making routine. Can’t ask for more. The container in the photo was part of a two pack I bought from Costco. Since I drink at least one full pitcher of tea on an average day I wanted something that I could throw ice in, put a lid on, and take with me to drink. This container isn’t perfect but is better than the others I have used in the past.

It’s been over a year since I bought this item for my wife for Xmas over a year ago. I’ve patiently waited on reviewing this product to see how it holds up to, whom I believe to be the person who drinks more ice tea than anyone has ever seen (no lie, she drinks at the very least, 1 pitcher a day, every day). Besides the pitcher being made of the thinnest glass known to man, the brewer is unbelievably reliable, easy to clean and makes great tasting tea. The adjustable strength setting allows you to make some very concentrated tea that you can just add a bunch of ice to and enjoy for the next few hours on a hot day (or in my wife’s case, all the friggin time). My only gripe, as noted above, is the incredibly thin glass pitcher. I take VERY great care in how I handle the pitcher and so far, it’s still in one piece. If you’ve got a ice tea drinker in your life, this is a must have.

My first item didn’t work. The power button was locked in the “off” position. Since replaced, we have enjoy perfect tea. Experiment with your particular brand. I’d advise you to mix it a little stronger. it is easier to dilute than make stonger. It stores easily. The little tower thing swings over and slims the unit for cabinet storage. The carafe is tall but fits in my fridge. One thing I learned. Once you KNOW how strong to make your tea (in the upper tray), I found a trick to sweeten it on the fly. I bought bulk splenda (in one of those silver ziplock bags). It is food-grade. You can put a pinch (or two) in the LOWER tray, then experiment (like add an extra pinch to your glass or to the lower tray the next time you brew.) Remember, go heavy on the tea the first go-round, because you can dilute. Go light on the sweetener, bc you can add.

well, at least for a tea maker. I’ve had the other models that leaked and missed the pitcher, creating a huge sticky mess. this design is nice since the tea flows directly, straight down into the pitcher. I don’t use ice in mine since it tends to water down the consistency. I put 5 bags (you may like 6) in the basket, fill it up once and let it steep… then I fill the reservoir again and run it through a second time. I brew it at the strongest level. I don’t put my sugar into the basket (you can) since I had a clog with the sticky sugar in the old models. I put the sugar in while the tea is hot and stir it gently with a long wooden spoon. i even leave about an inch of water in the pitcher before making my tea just to make sure i get a full pitcher of straight ice tea each time. don’t have too much in since you do not want it to overfill. lastly… i don’t want to admit it but: i didn’t read the instructions and closed the top part (i didn’t swing it out over the pitcher); this created an endless loop of the water going from the basket straight into the reservoir… trust me; many people have done this according to the reviews (some did not realize this before giving it bad reviews)… i let it sit there for a while so the tea will drain from the basket, i then remove the bags (i use the basket without the filter), i then take paper towels and wipe out the basket and any wet areas. i turn the tea maker upside down over the sink to help drain any left over water in the reservoir… a quick wipe down and i let it sit for a few hours with the lid open and the reservoir open to the air.. to help evaporate any left over water.. it sounds like a pain in the rear.. but after you get your system down, it’s quick, simple and well worth it. note: the glass pitcher is not the thickest and the handle is the weak point in my view. if you have a small sink or clang it against something… eventually it make crack or break. I bought a nice pitcher to hold two servings (2 tea maker glass pitchers) so I don’ t have to make it so often; I leave the glass pitcher with the maker and stick it on the counter.

We’ve had this tea maker for several months now and love it! Yes we have to be a little more mindful of not knocking it on the granite countertop but really this is not a problem and I love the idea of the hot liquid in a glass container instead of plastic. Had a Mr. Coffee plastic one for years and years. This brand…can’t go wrong! Great tea, too. Uses two tea bags instead of the three we were using in our old one which saves a little. Uses lots of ice…more than the plastic one but again, not a problem for us just FYI.

I love love love this tea brewer! You are only limited by your imagination! I had just bought a water filter that gets all the flouride, bacteria, heavy metals, etc out of my water so my tea is the freshest, yummiest and healthiest I’ve ever had! I started with herbal peach tea(perfect for summer) and I bought frozen peaches to put in each person’s glass so they have a yummy peach slice to snack on when the finish their tea. Kids love it and it’s sooo much better for them than ANYTHING out there! It doesn’t cost an arm & a leg so it’s cost effective too! I bought raspberry tea, regular tea, green tea and so many others with frozen fruit to compliment them! You can also put regular tea and add an herbal fruity tea to compliment it! Make your own favorite combinations, sky is the limit!! There is a recipe booklet included and you can make adult teas, cocktails, etc! Sooo easy and quick you don’t have to buy those expensive, preservative filled drinks for you or your family! Treat yourself to better health and a refreshing, quenching tea! For those of you who are asking for specific instructions:Herbal Tea: place 6-8 bags in brew basket then swivel top to side to fill reservoir, fill to line with filtered water, place pitcher under tea spout, plug unit in and press power. When tea is finished brewing add sugar and stir until dissolved. Choose how much sugar you want to add: I like 1/2 cup but the kiddos like when I add 3/4 cup of sugar. Allow tea to cool down before adding cold water or ice to glass pitcher, however if you want your tea faster then you can add the cold water in sections (like tempering an egg) so pour some in and stir then add more and stir to slowly bring temperature down. This is for the pitcher included, if you would like to make a gallon of tea then just place a family size gallon tea bag in the basket and brew. Dissolve sugar then transfer to a gallon pitcher and fill with cold water to complete the gallon. Stir well. Enjoy!Tip: add some frozen fruit for an extra delicious, refreshing tea.

We use this ALL the time! You can even make hot tea with it if you want to. Sometimes we put loose leaf tea in the basket and that also works. The glass pitcher seems a little fragile but it has held up well the last 6 months. We usually put about an inch of room temperature water in the bottom and let the tea brew into that for less of a temperature shock to the glass. The only minor qualm I have is you have to let it dry out completely before you push the top portion back into place or you risk getting leftover tea drops in your water reservoir.

I’ve been without a tea maker for so long that I forgot how easy it could all be. First off, it took a while to figure out the correct amount of family-size tea bags. Afterward, it became easy. For us, it was one tea bag with the strength sliding bar about 60%. Now, instead of having tea once every two months when we visit a restaurant, we have it every day. Another factor is that it is easy to use is the one stop button, just press it and go about your business. It’s a great addition.

We’ve been through several other styles and brands of tea makers, and this is the best one we’ve found that DOES NOT LEAK! The pitcher is breakable and we had one get broken in the dish washer… not recommended to wash in the dishwasher. Replacement pitchers can be ordered at the Mr. Coffee website. I swore I would be different than other reviewers and not break the beautiful pitcher that comes with this. But, I did. I make tea – decaf and caff – almost every day. I have the tea maker stationed beside our pot filler faucet for faster filling. In the picture I show how the water filling port can get tea stains if you don’t wipe it down each time (which I never do). I will run a dilution of water and vinegar through every 4-6 months just to clear it out. The tea basket gets put in the dishwasher whenever it starts to look like it needs it – every 3 months. That also depends on whether I forget to take out the used tea bag for too long. As I said my tea pitcher broke so I replaced with the square pitcher in the picture. They are very sturdy, fit under the machine perfectly and don’t take up a lot of room in the fridge. I love my tea maker!!

This Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker makes the best Iced Tea for just pennies. We had been using store bought ready made iced tea in the gallon jugs. It was costing us about $3.00/ gallon. With this Mr. Coffee Iced Tea brewing machine we can make a gallon of iced tea for just pennies. We have found that using 9 regular sized (not the family sized tea bags) Earl Grey tea bags is the perfect strength for 1/2 gallon (two quarts) of tea. We sweeten t with five teaspoons of Stevia ( I am pre diabetic) for just the perfect sweetness. My wife likes her tea very sweet so you may start with four teaspoons of Stevia. Stevia tastes just like sugar without the chemical taste of artificial sweetener, so it is perfect for sweet tea! If you are buying tea in gallon jugs, you need this Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker. I would buy this maker again if needed but there are a couple of things I wish would change about the unit as well…Here a couple of “Pros”:Filter basket is removable and very easy to clean.Brews water/tea very hot and quicklyThe overall size and shape of the tea maker is great, slim and tall not bulkyAdjustable brew strengthAuto-cut off, when the water reservior is empty the unit powers downEasy to cleanBrews a great tasting cup of tea!The major downfall of this tea meaker is the very thin glass pitcher. The directions and advertising on the box tell you to brew your tea over ice directly in the pitcher. However after reading several reviews that the thin pitcher cracks I only brew tea into the empty pitcher than transfer the tea into another container to add ice.

I love this model compared to the blue, more plasticy version. The glass carafe doesn’t stain like the plastic one does and the glossy black finish just looks much better on the counter. Very happy with this one since I drink black tea every day.

I am so happy that I gave this tea maker a try. I have used it daily for over a month and have not had any problems with it. It brews the tea quickly and it tastes even better than my old way of boiling it on the stove. I have not had any problems with the pitcher, but I have since purchased another glass pitcher so that I can always have one full and never run out of tea. I would recommend this for anyone who drinks as much tea as my family does!

…after > 2 years. Have to run vinegar through it every few months to keep it clean. I use it at least 3x per week. Love the fact that it doesn’t require purchasing those damn paper filters!! Only occasionally use the glass pitcher since I’m a major klutz!!! Hope this doesn’t disappear from the market. (Tempted to buy a spare one just in case.) This was not just a purchase – but an investment and the return has been great for me.

I love this thing!!! I drink a ton of iced tea and this product works great for brewing. Rather than filling the pitcher with ice I just fill with water half way between the 2 marks. Otherwise my ice maker would not keep up with my brewing. Highly recommend.

We bought this as a gift for our daughter and she loves it. Now that means we have to buy one for us too. I’m a little concerned about the glass pitcher which is a little thin, but so far no issues. This unit seems to be better quality than the cheaper one we both had.

Bought this for my husband for one of his Christmas gifts, as he is a big ice tea drinker. At 1st, he was taken back by the gift, he didn’t think he need it. By the end of the day he was in love with this machine and still is. Ice Tea whenever he wants it with no fuss. .Easy. .The carafe is a nice size as well. Nice machine doesn’t take up much room, carafe stores nicely in frig, and if I want hot tea no problem. Looking for an an additional carafe for when we have company or just a spare to have.

Only thing is glass pitcher is a little scary to handle but any pitcher will fit under it just fine if something should happen to it! I love my Mr coffee iced tea maker. With the brew strength I can select what strength I want with two iced tea bags and just a little boost of the string selector I have outstanding tea. The glass picture is excellent because I know it doesn’t retain flavors and I can clean it without any residue left behind and I just absolutely love that. The glass picture is also beautiful to look at when on a table and a nice serving piece. I use Luziane iced tea bags.

We make iced tea every day and this machine is fantastic! We have had trouble with previous iced tea makers leaking from the basket to the counter top when the pitcher isn’t in the exact position. These guys finally figured it out and this machine drips into the center of the pitcher so it is impossible to miss and leak onto the counter. Highly recommend!

This design is very practical and smart compared to my last Iced Tea maker from this brand. The swivel out drip makes much better sense than my other tea make that had to have the pitcher completely snug to the machine or it would drip all over the counter. I bought this item as a replacement for a plastic Mr Coffee iced tea maker and it is a 100% improvement in the style and functionality. I have used Mr Coffee iced tea makers for years, but the last two I bought kept leaking profusely (the second was bought because I thought the first one was a lemon), but found from Amazon reviews that it wasn’t just mine – that many others were leaking. This one is much nicer, brews tea quickly and efficiently, looks much nicer, and has a setting so that I can make it stronger. I don’t make tea according to the instructions, because we’re Southern and like sweet tea. Instead of ice, I place sugar in the container, brew the tea, give the sugar a stir, then pour the concentrated sweetened tea over ice in a separate container and voila – sweet tea. I really like the nice looking glass container instead of the plastic type. I think some people who experience the glass cracking may have been because of temperature changes. It may seem like a hassle, but using a different container to pour the tea over ice will save the fragile glass container and is worth that simple step. The only downside is that the basket isn’t designed to hold enough tea bags to make a gallon of tea, but I have tried using six quart size tea bags and it can work. Overall a tremendous improvement over the plastic version, and definitely looks much nicer than the cheesy cheap brightly colored plastic versions. They should recall the old style!

Fast shipping! Came this week. I’m writing a review only a few of days in. I’m hoping it will continue to be a five-star purchase for us. The price is exceptionally good and the extended warranty is really affordable. We are replacing our 1.4 month old Capresso iced tea machine with this Mr. Coffee iced tea machine. Unfortunately, the Capresso machine was extremely expensive for what you get and has terrible reviews here on Amazon from dissatisfied customers. Many of them said theirs caught fire or have had other electrical issues… Mine had electrical issues too. If I’d looked at Amazon instead if buying at JCPenney, I would have seen the poor reviews of the Capresso brand! I would have purchased this Mr. Coffee instead! It gets great reviews! I’m really hoping this machine will hold up… but if not, at least I do have an extended warranty! This machine is much better quality than the Capresso variety and of course it’s a Mr. Coffee which we have had nothing but good luck with in many of their products over the years. This machine has a really clever design. I’ll post pics below to show you what it looks like. It’s wide but it’s narrow and it does this little transformer type of thing when it’s in use. When you’ve made your iced tea and the pitchers been moved to the fridge, you line up the top and bottom and it’s slim again. You just turn it to the side which saves that much coveted space on your counter top.

The glass pitcher is a great addition to the Mr. Coffee tea system. Mr. Coffee makes really good tea, as you can adjust the strength to what you like, and the glass pitcher doesn’t stain like the original plastic ones did; not to mention the fact that you’re not putting the hot tea into plastic, & then drinking it. I’m chemically sensitive & the less plastic around my food & drink, the better I like it.

The second one I bought only because I liked the first one that much.) and yes I do drink lots of tea. Both hot and cold. My favorite purchase for myself. I like flavored tea (peach and raspberry) while no one else in the house really does. This allows me to make just enough (slightly more than a half gallon) for myself to last about two days. The pitcher is brittle and you must take care with it. I have teenagers, and while washing the dishes one night, it was soapy and slipped only about 2 inches onto a hard surface and shattered 🙁 . I was heartbroken because the pitcher looked so nice. I have replaced it (only the pitcher) with a plastic one from Wally World. Not as pretty, but just as functional.

Makes very good iced tea. I’ve used the machine almost daily since receiving it and it works perfectly. I’ve used tea bags and also tried cutting open the tea bags and dumping the loose tea into the brew basket. No apparent difference in the flavor, but it makes disposal of the wet tea leaves easier, whether to compost or whatever. The only things I’ve found that concern me are the perceived fragility of the glass pitcher and the tendency of the swiveling brewing head to slightly tilt to one side when in the brewing position. Be prepared to wipe up some tea drips after removing the pitcher from under the brewing head.

You can pop out he filter basket easily…it’s a glass pitcher so no tea stains. Love how fast and perfect the brews are each time. Also the top closes for easy storage so the part over the pitcher will go over where the water goes, takes up less counter space this way! I brew around 4-6 pitchers a week… Yes tea-alcoholic!

We drink alot of iced tea in our house and I’ve been looking for the best way to make it. I purchase the Numi Organic loose tea in the 1# bags and had been making the tea in a french press and was so sick of doing it that way. I stumbled upon this iced tea maker and I LOVE it!!! It’s so easy to do and doesn’t need to be watched, timed, etc and even with the loose tea the clean up is easy. I just empy the basket and give it a quick rinse. And I love the way the machine folds up on itself.Based on previous reviews I’m careful with the glass carafe on my granite countertop and cast iron sink. And I always empty the tea in to another pitcher to help preserve the carafe.I wish I would have bought this machine years ago. No complaints!!!

    Great Lakes (G-Man) – July 1, 2021

well, at least for a tea maker.

They cost about a third of the price of the tea-maker, so we ordered TWO so we can have one to serve tea, and another to brew more if we have a big crowd.

I like the way it folds so that it has a smaller foot print on my counter. The only con is that they have a line on the pitcher for water and one for ice. The one for ice is so much that it empties my ice maker. So I don’t use it that often since you can only get one pitcher that way.

The old Mr. Coffee unit finally wore out after several years of daily use. The new unit is very handsome sitting out on the kitchen counter and the tea made in it tastes much better than the older unit. I agree with other reviewers that the glass pitcher is very thin (in order to dissipate the heat) but you really have to be careful around granite counter tops! I was worried about this purchase after some reviews. I’m so happy I ignored them and bought this anyway. I have extreme back pain and it’s hard for me to stand at the stove and wait for the tea to finish the old fashioned way. With this I’m able to just fill it up with cold water and within seconds be able to walk away. I love that it automatically shuts off and I don’t have to worry about pots overflowing or my tea burning. Which was always a waste of time and money. I love this machine!! I have found that you have to find a happy medium between tea settings. I love my tea strong but personally the highest setting is too strong. Even after I add more water and sugar there was a bitter taste that hit you at the back of your throat. So far I have only used 2 family size tea bags. (At one time, per batch.) I can’t wait to try other flavors. If you are debating buying this, I would recommend that you try this. I have no regrets with this decision. I would buy again.

We use this daily and love it. We have another glass picture that fits under it, so we switch off. It is nice that you can use other pictures, we go through a lot of tea. The glass picture does seem to be very thin, but no problems so far.

This iced tea maker does the job… what more can you ask?Pros:Glass pitcher – With all the negative media about chemicals in plastics, I try to just steer clear of plastic in general.Pitcher is dishwasher safeVERY simple use – This iced tea maker is beyond easy to operate. Fill the pitcher to the water line, pour the water into the reservoir, then fill the pitcher to the ice line and place pitcher under spout, place your tea bags in the tea bag basket under the lid, press start! (Maybe make sure it’s plugged in, too.)Cons:Once it’s done brewing, I always immediately place the pitcher in my fridge and them remove the used tea bags from the iced tea maker. For some reason, once I remove the little basket that holds the tea bags, the machine drips some remaining fluid/tea onto my counter. I don’t see this as a big deal AT ALL b/c it takes less than a second to wipe it away with a towel. For anybody who’s never owned an iced tea maker before, this is how it works: It brews HOT tea which then drips down into your pitcher, which you hopefully remembered to fill with ice. Obviously, as the hot tea hits the ice, there will be a good bit of melting of the ice (so I always run mine on the strongest brew setting since I know the ice will dilute it a bit). You’re left with a pitcher of tea that has about 1/2 of the ice you originally placed in it. Fresh and cold tea!

I really like the changes in the Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker. I have had a couple over the years, and the usual issue is in the plastic jug. Handles would break off and plastic would crack from use. This new design has the same ease of use, but has a better made container with a solid handle and as long as its not dropped on a hard surface, should last a long time.

It will pay for it’self in about twenty uses. Also the tea will be better for you!

Coffee!!!

I have been using bags so far but plan to buy loose tea from now on. Bought a 2nd pitcher so one is always ready. Pitcher is attractive and worthy of placing right on the table. I’ve had this tea brewer for a year now and I really like it. It is used every day, sometimes twice a day. I always liked getting brewed tea at restaurants (when it was brewed correctly). So I bought this brewer to have good tea at home. The instructions say some tea’s will brew cloudy. I found ALL tea’s brewed cloudy. But, after experimenting, this is what works for me every time.I forget the ice. It’s too much trouble and uses way to much ice. And apparently makes it cloudy.I fill the pitcher with cold water to about 2” above the fill line on the side of the pitcher. Then pour the cool water into the brewer to the fill line on the brewer. You will then have extra water in the pitcherto set under the brewer to mix with the brewed tea, and to help cool the hot brewed tea. With 2 Family sized tea bags in the brewer and your brew strength chosen, start the brewer. This works perfect for me every time and is never cloudy. Great brewed flavor. The tea will be warm in the pitcher, but this is how it works best for me. Just pour into a glass of ice or into a cup for hot tea.The glass is light weight, but has lasted a year so far. In our house glasses and dishes get broken on a regular basis.

I am someone who drinks unsweetened Iced Tea 365 days a year. I love the fresh brewed in the restaurants and when I am out of town, I will buy the gallons of it from places like McAllister’s and Chickfila. That habit was starting to get expensive so I thought I would try the makers. I had a Mr. Coffee one years and years ago, the plastic kind, didn’t think much of it and just started doing sun tea. After spending days searching for the right one, I came across this one and loved it as it is glass. I know the plastic ones have improved over the years but I still would prefer having my tea brewed in a glass container. I was hesitant at first with the poor reviews over the glass pitcher. But then I saw that someone had pointed out it is thin glass and you must be careful while adding the ice. I bought it, I have been brewing a pitcher a day and I am in love. It is that good! I use 4 Lipton tea bags and keep it on the lowest strength and recently just bought an extra pitcher through Mr. Coffee so I can have two pitchers at once. The worst part is trying to keep my ice cubes in stock so I can keep brewing!! If you are thinking of not buying it due to the thin glass, don’t let that stand in your way. Just be careful with the ice and you will be fine!!!

I cannot be happier with this tea maker. It is easy to operate and produces very good quality tea. I have used the heck out of it without any issues. It brews very clean tasting tea into a real glass carafe. That means I can keep it cleaner. When you are not using it, the top folds back and you can safe some counter space. It comes with a re-usable filter which is easy to get out and clean. I used to have to use coffee filters which had to be stocked.I would buy this again without question and recommend it to anyone who wants to make good quality tea at home. It has saved me money by letting me make a beverage that is 0 calories, high in anti oxidants, and avoid pop and other useless pre-packaged drinks.Even if you get it out now and then to make tea for a party, this unit is worth consideration.

I’m an iced tea, not coffee drinker and this machine makes great iced tea- much better than the tea I used to make in the microwave. Very easy to use and is quite fast. I do agree that the pitcher seems a bit fragile, but I just pour my brewed tea into a sturdier pitcher. Even if I do break the pitcher, I think almost any pitcher with a similar shape will work.

I have owned several of the plastic brightly colored Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Makers before. They last a year or so, then begin to leak. The last one leaked all over the counter. This is a much more durable version. The pitcher is glass not plastic (2Qt.) and has held up well so far. I don’t use the brewing pitcher for storing tea once it is made. Instead I transfer it to another pitcher that is a thicker glass and fits better in my fridge. It brews pretty quickly and the strength of the brew is adjustable. It is great for making regular unsweetened herb teas of full on “southern” sweet tea. I hope this machine lasts a long time but I would definitely purchase again.

I do have to be careful of breaking the glass pitcher. I would like to know if you can purchase the glass pitcher without the whole set? Glass is better because the plastic held the smell and it started turning a brownish color. Love my ice tea maker.

we’ve made tea in this dozens of times already since we bought it (we drink a lot of iced tea in this house) and it’s pretty brilliant. My husband loves to supplement his Coke Zero Vanilla habit with iced vanilla tea. It’s loose leaf, and he’s British, so those two things together mean that the making of iced tea is largely a mystery to him. (yes, I know.) That combined with the large quantities in which we drink it means that I was constantly steeping tea. This thing is easy enough that he can make it himself with hardly any effort or calculations or frantic questions to me about how much water to put in where. It’s also weirdly one of the only automatic iced tea makers that lets you use loose leaf tea, which I find bizarre, but I’m happy it works so well. I like that the carafe is glass so I can get it properly clean and it doesn’t get all scratched up and cloudy.

Love making ice tea so easily without the hassle of pots or pans, boiling water, etc. Included are a recipe book for ways to make up different flavors. Personally love putting in family size decaf black pekoe bags (3) and 2 peach tea bags for a great flavor. I add stevia for sweetness, fresh squeezed lemon, then a few ounces of peach flavored syrup when its finished to replace expensive bottles of Snapple that have unsafe aspartame in their sugar free formula! Yuck! Mine rivals their taste, and BTW got idea of recipe from that crazy dude Todd Wilbur on t.v. that drives around the country in his mobile food kitchen trying to duplicate recipes.

I love it!

This is a great iced tea maker. I orginally purchased it based on its appearance….I could keep it “out” on the counter. I used it a few times a week and 1.5 years later, its still working great. Some people have mentioned the thin pitcher and I agree with their comments….I went onto the Mr. Coffee website and bought an extra pitcher in case the orginal broke, the good news is that the “spare” is still storage. I highly recommend this product.

This design is very practical and smart compared to my last Iced Tea maker from this brand. The swivel out drip makes much better sense than my other tea make that had to have the pitcher completely snug to the machine or it would drip all over the counter. I make tea almost daily and this appliance makes it easy with no mess!

Iced tea isn’t really that difficult to make the old fashioned way, but it SEEMS like it is — find a pitcher to handle the boiling water, boil the water, gauge how long to leave the tea bags in etc. This tea maker is simple, elegant, and does the job well. And if you use ice in the pitcher, as the directions suggest you end up with tea ready to drink right away. Definitely not a necessity but a very inexpensive luxury that I use and enjoy every day.

Been using this for about 6 months now. The cheaper Mr Coffee tea makers don’t seem to hold up and the plastic pitchers are a pain to keep unstained. This tea maker works great and the glass pitcher doesn’t stain. Just be careful as the pitcher is very thin. If you want an Ice Tea Maker, this is the one!Been over a year now. I use the gallon tea bags and after measuring water for the tea maker, I put my sugar in the carafe and add some hot tap water, swish around to melt sugar, then I put the carafe in place and turn on the maker. Sitr again after tea is made and while filling with more water. I use spring water in the tea maker. Have no problems at all. For those who have suffered broken pitchers, if you add hot to a cold pitcher or cold to a hot pitcher, it’s going to break just like a regular pitcher or glass. I don’t know if it makes any difference, but I never put ice in the pitcher, just fill to the top line with room temp spring water and put ice in my glass. There’s always the chance you’ll get a defective unit but mine has been a champ!

I LOVE this brewer! It holds a lot of tea and I really like the glass pitcher. I also use it for when I just need hot water for a cup of hot tea by dispensing a cup of water directly into my mug. The only downside is it uses nearly all the ice in my ice maker for a full pitcher.

I came really close to returning this iced tea maker before even trying it simply because I had second thoughts about yet another corded kitchen appliance. I decided to go ahead and try it, and have not once regretted that decision. We have literally brewed a pitcher of tea every single day since owning it! Making iced tea used to be such a process for me, but now it literally takes less than 5 minutes and we have ice cold tea. I know there are a lot of reviewers complaining about the pitcher thickness, but I don’t mind it all and don’t have any concerns about breaking it. I highly recommend this tea maker and am very pleased with the purchase.

So much better than the plastic jug Mr. Tea’s. Use regular tea bags, don’t buy the big giant Lipton ice tea bags… Remember though, the pitcher is glass, if you use an ice maker ensure you put it on “Crushed” setting… I think you could break this very quickly if you allowed cubes to drop into it directly.

I had concerns about the pitcher looking fragile, but it is holding up fine. I have owned many tea makers but this is now my favorite. The tea carafe is glass, which is more elegant than the large plastic ones. Now, if you are looking for a HUGE amount of tea, you will need a larger machine. However, don’t confuse my message – this is not a “tiny” tea maker. You can brew loose leaf or bagged teas. No paper filter necessary since it has a built in one. After I brew tea, I immediately rinse it out and let it dry. I make sweet tea by brewing three sweet tea bags and adding sugar to the bottom of the pitcher. I do not put ice into it. After it brews, I allow it to cool a bit and then I add water to dissolve the sugar. Then, in the fridge it goes! If you want it to be instantly cold, you will need to fill the pitcher with ice and when it brews it will grow cold. Another aspect is the counter space that it saves. When I’m not using the machine, I can push it against my one side of my counter space and it’s not in the way at all – the top part swivels closed and does not stick out. I love this tea machine Awesome price for this product, since at other stores I have seen similar for $59 and up.

I love that this tea maker is fast. It takes about 3-5 mins from the time you turn it on. Nice that it has a brew feature. I do love the glass pitcher, personally I think it has a better taste then compared to the plastic pitcher. Down fall: The glass pitcher does seem a little fragile. Work around: when I put the ice in, I put the ice into a plastic glass, tip the pitcher on the side and I slide the ice into the pitcher instead of dropping ice into pitcher. Other then that overall I do like this ice tea maker and I like the taste a lot better. Heres hoping you have a quiet spot and a nice glass of tea to enjoy!

we’ve made tea in this dozens of times already since we bought it (we drink a lot of iced tea in this house) and it’s pretty brilliant.

I drink it unsweetened so use the ice cube/less water method. She loves sweet tea and without the ice cubes, the tea is hot enough to dissolve her desired amount of sugar. I thought it would become another seldom-used counter space hog but it’s pretty and in daily use still after 6 weeks.

I LOVE this thing. I had a Mr. Coffee iced tea maker in college and loved that too, but I decided to buy one with a glass carafe and this one is a great one, especially for the price. It’s really simple (like half dead in the morning, I can still figure out how to get my caffeine deliciousness), it looks good on my counter, and doesn’t take up much space. The glass pitcher is nice enough to serve out of and fits in the fridge well. I read a couple reviews before buying that said their pitcher broke after use, so I’ve been watching for cracks and am extra careful, but so far it just seems to be a typical glass product that needs slightly different care than plastic or metal. The main thing is to wash it in warm (not hot) water, and be sure to put ice or cold water in it before brewing. That’s it.Most importantly, the tea it brews is delicious. And it takes only a couple minutes. Having an iced tea maker is SUCH a first world thing, but hey. It makes great tea and saves me a ton of money not buying it at coffee shops that can never get it right anyway.

This makes perfect tea. The concerns about the glass carafe require careful handling of said carafe. If you are worried, get a spare. That way nothing will ever happen to the original. It is a law of the universal laws.

Great product. I like that it has a glass pitcher, and it is so easy to use. I always have a pitcher of iced tea in the fridge, and it is so much less expensive than buying the jugs at the store. It paid for itself in a few months just in the savings.

I really like this Mr. Coffee Iced Tea Maker. I had an old one which finally quit. This one works equally as well and looks nicer on the counter. I had concerns about the pitcher looking fragile, but it is holding up fine. One thing I would change is to make the lid of the pitcher fit tighter as it will fall out when pouring unless you keep a finger on it, but maybe that is just mine.

I purchased this because my favorite instant ice was discontinued by Arizona and the sale of Sweatbay Grocery ended the only retailor that carried it. So now I am back to brewing my own tea. It is very simple to use and will brew any type of tea you may desire. The pitcher is made of glass and the whole unit cleans up very easily after use.

LOVE LOVE This tea maker. We have used many Mr. Coffee tea makers through the years. This one is absolutely SWEET! The best tasting tea hands down over the other models with the plastic pitchers. The glass pitcher is NOT thin as some reviewers have indicated – not sure how one would think that. It is actually quite sturdy. Course – one must be careful with it because It. Is. Glass. I have water in the bottom with some ice when I’m brewing. I don’t let it hang out in the sink to get banged against things or things banged against it. The only thing I wish was designed better but it isn’t a deal breaker; the lid. It comes off easily when pouring – so! simply keep a finger on it while pouring. Voila !

I love it! When I opened the package, I was very concerned that my family would bust the glass pitcher, it feels very thin, but a few months later and it’s still going strong. We usually go through about 2 pitchers per day, for a family of 7. So this is very well used at our house, in the summer, we will go through more. I actually like the glass pitcher because it does not stain the way that plastic pitchers do and is easier to clean. I have not used it with the loose leaf only because I have not gotten any loose leaf tea as of yet. If we have to replace, I would like to with this.

PERFECT!

Man I love this thing. I make a pitcher of iced tea pretty much everyday, and it always turns out perfect. It does come out very hot, but it’s very easily cooled down. I’m clumsy and broke the glass pitcher it came with almost immediately, but I’ve found that pretty much every pitcher in existence fits underneath it, and holds the right amount of water to brew tea with it. If you make a lot of tea, I really really recommend this.

I have had this iced tea make for a few weeks now. I love making and serving the tea from the glass pitcher. I had read reviews that the glass was too delicate but so far that has not been an issue. It is nice to have the filter for loose tea. This allows me to make my favorite tea – mango black tea. I would definitely recommend this product!

I’m guessing that the Oster version of this iced tea maker is very similar to the Mr. Coffee. Is it the exact same? Well, I hope not, because I tried the Oster model and it failed from right out of the box! I returned it with a horrible rating. Move forward two years, I find that Mr. Coffee is selling a similar, and hopefully IMPROVED version. So far, we’re loving it! I hope it stands the test of time! I really wanted a glass pitcher. I hope I can keep from breaking it! Great tea! Fast!

He’s a hoot and my sis has a recipe book by him she uses occasionally, so he’s on to something.

I purchase this to replace old one ( I had one of the originals). I like this one much better. The top swings out when making the tea so there is no chance of the tea accidently leaking or dripping down the sides of the pitcher like my old one. There are a couple of things that could be improved on, #1. I wish the cord was a little longer, I have to keep moving it out to plug it in, #2. The pitcher is very thin and fragile I would like to see one made of tempered glass. Overall, I really like it and would recommend it.

Makes tea like it should with a design that pretty much guarantees that you will not miss the pitcher and wind up with tea all over the counter due the pitcher being a micrometer from being in just the right spot.

I’ve officially had this tea brewer + pitcher for 6 months and love it! Both my husband and mom accidentally got me the same one for Christmas because they knew I was over using a Pyrex measuring cup to make tea concentrate haha… but at the price point I ended up keeping the second as a backup just in case, but the first one is still going strong! I do hand wash the pitcher but it’s been fine so far. I usually just make my personal sweet tea recipe but I’ve tried other combinations like green + mint tea & they’ve all been great. Easy to use and produces a consistent outcome every time. I’ve been very happy with this product.

We live in FL so we are big ice tea drinkers. I have been using Mr. Coffee Ice Tea makers for decades. This is the third or fourth version and by far the best. The previous models were good but this one is superior. As others have said, the other versions ran down the front of the brewer into the spout of the pitcher. You had to be conscious of this and get the pitcher in tight or you’d have a puddle of tea on the counter. Due to the design of this new version, that is not really a concern. (Made a batch this AM and wasn’t careful how I put the pitcher in but no worries and no puddle!)The glass carafe is nice but a bit thin as others have stated so you need to be a bit careful. To be honest, I still use a old plastic pitcher (I know…sacrilege) that I have used for years. (Much to the wife’s dismay) FWIW …I have tried various pitchers with this version and I think most pitchers will work. I only use the glass carafe for more “formal” settings.

I absolutely LOVE this thing! I used it almost daily for the last half year or so and it’s held up just fine. The glass pitcher hasn’t been problematic at all and seems much stronger than I expected after reading some reviews here. I’m not a particularly careful person either… Its been bumped against my sink, counter and faucet many times without a hint of a crack.I have a system now where I dissolve sugar or splenda in some warm water before filling with ice. No matter what order hot cold or warm things go into it there’s never been a problem with temperature changes affecting the glass.Even if it did break, any pitcher will do. In fact I have a much larger plastic pitcher I sometimes use when making a larger batch of tea. No problems ever.Lastly, and highly important to me, is it’s simple to clean. Just run water through it without tea. Easy as pie and I toss the pitcher and lid in the dishwasher or wash by hand if I’m in a hurry to make more. Which I often am because we drink a LOT of iced tea! This is the greatest!

Having recently quit drinking coffee, I threw myself into the world of tea, and this brewer has been the best money I’ve spent all year. I brew a few pitchers a day, I never thought I would enjoy iced tea this much. I’ve stopped drinking seltzer too, which is a huge plus! You can brew over ice, or into water. I don’t care for the ice method, so I brew into water and refrigerate.Since I’m not using ice, the Mr Coffee Pitcher is too big for an all-water brew (and not air tight) so I’m brewing directly these pitchers now http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CS4QXKW which then go into the fridge. The directions say to use 5-7 bags, which I found to be really strong, so I use 4 bags for most tea, or 4-6 tsps of loose leaves. All kinds of tea have worked, even flavored (Stash, Palais du Thes, etc) and smoked teas too, and the tea basket always rinses clean, ready for the next brew.Have recommended it to friends, and would totally buy it again. It’s going to be great for the summer!

I drink it unsweetened so use the ice cube/less water method. She loves sweet tea and without the ice cubes, the tea is hot enough to dissolve her desired amount of sugar.

Love everything about this tea maker. I made a pitcher of tea including lemons, ice and sugar and wah-lah…tea. Love the glass pitcher because bacteria won’t harbor inside. It makes just enough tea for several days and this is good. I don’t like old tea. I recommend this tea maker for all homes.

I love this iced tea maker! Works like a charm.Fabulous customer service as well. My first one didn’t work correctly and Amazon had a new one shipped out to me before I even returned the faulty one. It’s my first iced tea maker so I can’t compare it to others but I can’t imagine another being any better. It brews my tea quickly and deliciously. I really like that there’s a tea strength option.I definitely recommend this product

What a well designed product, and a really pretty class pitcher. Finally they have replacements available!Incidentally, a 2-litre glass or plastic juice bottle fits nicely under the protruding tea spout, a good if not elegant way to make tea (see picture) when you’ve broken that fragile pitcher. No problem, replacement with shipping cost is a fair $18.

I really like this tea maker and it’s a nice upgrade from the ones with the cheap plastic pitchers that become misshapen and crack over time. I love that you can use any pitcher under it. Even if the pitcher was too tall, you could raise the tea maker on something. The pitcher is thin glass, so I’m careful with it. When you run the 1st cycle to clean it, I still recommend putting ice in the pitcher so as not to let it get too hot. Mine was crazy hot and I had to let the empty pitcher cool down for a long time. I also love that you can use loose-leaf tea, which was something I couldn’t do with the old one. I especially like the design. The old white tea makers are an eye sore, and as soon as I was done with it, back under the cabinet it went. With this one, I don’t mind having it out on the counter next to my black Keurig. I’d include pics but my kitchen is under construction so it’s sitting on the gas stove right now!

    Unlike the

Mr. Coffee TM70 3-Quart Iced Tea Maker, 3-Quart, Blue

(which I also own), this one allows you to use any pitcher you want. It also folds to a slim profile for your countertop when not in use. It has a really good filter basket that is easily removed for cleaning. It does come with a nice glass pitcher, but I just put that aside and used my own slim-fit pitchers instead, since those fit better in my fridge. I took my other tea maker to work and kept this one as my primary one for home. (Of course, it makes great iced tea, too!)

I use this almost daily for my iced tea production. Has held up well and is still running. For those who complain about the pitcher breaking, add a 1/2 inch of water in the bottom before brewing and the thermal shock won’t break the pitcher.

Great tea! Fast!

Voila !

I do have to be careful of breaking the glass pitcher. I would like to know if you can purchase the glass pitcher without the whole set? Glass is better because the plastic held the smell and it started turning a brownish color. Love my ice tea maker.
